We worked with the 100-year old Kuangsheng Chinese Medicine Herbalist in Yilan, to create this kumquat beer, blended with traditional herbs that helps with insomnia. The herb blend consists of dried kumquats, dried reishi/lingzhi mushrooms, chrysanthemum, and Mai Men Dong (Snake’s Beard). This beer tastes surprisingly sweet, and finishes with a light traditional herb tea taste.
